Classic Wedding at Union Bluff

Is there anything better than a classic New England wedding? Nicole and Dan have been together since high school and even went to prom together. Eventually, they both ended up at UNH so they could be together. They finally got married this past summer at Union Bluff in York, Maine!

They brought Fete & Festoon on for wedding management. A lot of this wedding was DIY, but they wanted someone to help guide them and reel in some of that work. It was important to them that their wedding felt intimate, even with their larger guest count. We helped add in activities and details that reflected their personality and the local surroundings in a way that honored guests.

Summer New England Wedding

In many ways, this wedding was quintessential Maine. Nicole and Dan had a lobster dinner for their rehearsal dinner and a raw bar for their cocktail hour. They were also able to get group photos at the Nubble Lighthouse. To top it off, they held their wedding at Union Bluff. Union Bluff is an iconic and historic York hotel right next to the ocean. The best thing about Union Bluff (besides the gorgeous scenery) is their ability to provide that classic New England feel.

York Flower Shop created a truly classic design for this wedding, and the custom signage was the perfect addition. Personally, we loved how York Flower Shop combined tall and short centerpieces to create a dynamic design. For their color scheme, Nicole and Dan chose that classic white and blue palette. So, York Flower Shop used white and blush roses with greenery and pops of blue flowers to help create their gorgeous centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres.

Working with Fete & Festoon

Guest experience was so important to Nicole and Dan, which we loved. Nicole and Dan wanted to make their wedding memorable without doing some of the traditions that didn’t feel right for them. As wedding planners, we always work to help our couples create an amazing experience for their guests and make sure their wedding feels authentic to them.

We love that everything worked out, and Nicole and Dan got the wedding of the dreams!
