BRIDAL ASSISTANT
$18 - $20 hourly, depending on experience.
As bridal assistant, you will be the wedding party’s right hand person as they get ready for an important day, and play a critical role in ensuring smooth timeline management throughout the day. Duties include:
Make sure hair and makeup are running on time.
Make sure the wedding party (both ladies & men) are dressed & ready to go based on the timeline.
Prepare bouquets by drying the stems & pinning boutonnieres on men.
Be there to mitigate any issues and answer questions. Be willing to pick up food or anything else the wedding party may want / need.
Make sure the photographer is working at an appropriate speed & not holding up the wedding party (ex: posing them when we need to get moving).
Help with wedding party lineup & guest management / movement.
Join the wedding party, family and photographer during photos to make sure that all desired photos / groupings are completed, and also make sure the timeline is moving while actively preventing delays.
Assist during the reception until all important elements are completed.
Requirements for this position are:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Confidence in working independently, while also being comfortable stepping in & addressing a vendor who may be causing delays, respectively.
Excellent customer service skills & understanding of genuine hospitality.
Willing to drive based on need.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
$18 - $20 hourly, depending on experience.
Production assistants work directly with the lead planner during event setup, execution & breakdown. This is a very hands-on role & is only suited for those who are willing to work hard! Every event is different, and sometimes you’ll be doing tasks you never expected you’d ever do. Duties include (but are certainly not limited to):
Event setup; this may include setting tables & chairs, preparing linens or candles & placing them, setting centerpieces, assisting with design installations, cleaning as needed, placing signage, and more.
Event execution; assisting with gathering & lining up bridal party & families; assist with guest management & movement, work with onsite vendors to ensure a smooth execution of the timeline, and more.
Event breakdown; gather the couple’s personal items at the end of the night, collect centerpieces & pack all items, break down design installations, meet venue requirements as far as breakdown and cleanup goes, make sure transportation arrangements are met & completed, and more.
Requirements include:
Ability to lift 50 lbs & spend long hours on your feet.
Willing to drive based on need.
Understanding that your role is not a lead role, and under the discretion of the lead planner. It will take time to learn F&F expectations, so a willingness to make corrections as directed & work as a team is essential.
Ability to understand new tasks quickly & work efficiently. We work fast, and production assistants often work independently after instruction.
Exceptional attention to detail; we believe that the impact is in the details, so being able to notice the small elements while keeping the big picture in mind is critical.
A passion for hospitality & the events industry; we love what we do!
