Why did you pick New Orleans?

New Orleans is one of our favorite cities, and one of the most spirited places to wed! We love jazz music, the vibrant personalities, and the bold color of the city, and wanted to reflect that in our wedding day. We also wanted to have a special, destination event and create an experience that felt the most like us. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!

Please visit the Weekend Details page to learn more about the specifics, but in a nutshell, you can expect funky brass bands, local sightseeing, and endless fun. We’re planning an evening ceremony at Jackson Square Park before moving to the Marigny district for dinner. More details will be added as we get closer to the date.

What kind of experience can we expect?

What’s the weather like in New Orleans this time of year?

May is the best time to visit New Orleans. A city that is usually boiling in humidity, May is the dry season! You can expect partly-cloudy to sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s / upper 70s. We’ll be avoiding the harsh sun during the ceremony by doing it in the evening.

What can I do while visiting New Orleans?

Will meals be provided?

They sure will be! You can expect dinner to be provided at the welcome party on Friday night, and dinner to be provided on wedding day. You just might be treated to some extra surprise when you arrive!

What’s the best way to RSVP?

Please RSVP using the form linked in the menu above by March 1st. Without that filled out, we will assume you are not attending regardless of other conversation. If you have any issues or questions, feel free to call/text Michael (603-715-8532) or Anja (603-275-1114).

What is the dress code?

Cocktail or semi-formal attire, please. We kindly request you consider wearing colors from our color palette to enhance the intimate atmosphere and create a cohesive look. More details are here.

Please wear your walking shoes for the second line which will immediately follow the ceremony.

For the welcome party, feel free to dress casual & comfy!

What is a second line?

A second line is a New Orleans wedding tradition, inviting the newlyweds to parade the city with a brass band, with their wedding guests in tow, celebrating and waving their hankies with spirit. Learn more about the history here.

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes leading up to the wedding?

Updates will be made here on the website, but any major changes will be communicated to everyone via email. Any questions, just reach out!
